The Ethiopian Wildlife Natural History Society and US Embassy launched the Ethiopian MAIA sites, and associated ground monitors in Ethiopia on Earth Day 2022! The SPARTAN site will be located at the US Embassy compound in Addis Ababa. Both Araya Asfaw, the SPARTAN site principal investigator and Dave Diner, JPL MAIA project lead spoke at the joint in person and virtual launch event, welcoming the additional monitoring and source contribution capacity provided SPARTAN sampling.
